Zinnias love the summer heat!
These disc-shaped flowers usually start blooming in mid- to late summer — perfect timing to add their bright, vibrant colors to seasonal designs!
The zinnia crop this year has been one of the healthiest we've seen. They can be fair-weather friends, sometimes quite temperamental. But we've heard from several of you that your zinnias have been holding up very well and lasting longer than in years past. Whatever the weather seems to be doing here from week to week, the zinnias are digging it!
We expect to see zinnias in the shop for the rest of the growing season until frost.
Remember, zinnias don't respond well to super-cold temperatures.
To protect these precious blooms,
don't store zinnias in a cooler below 42 degrees.

Zinnias are incredibly versatile! With a huge range of colors, zinnias can easily complement any palette, whether you're designing with pastels, brights, or neutrals.
Our growers offer zinnias in white, salmon, pink, coral, red, wine, lilac, purple, orange, and gold, in addition to a few specialty colors associated with specific varieties.
Zinnia breeding for in-demand subtle tones has become popular among growers like Floret and Dawn Creek. After years of selecting and seed-saving, these breeders finally have enough seed stock to supply growers across the country.
If you're working with a soft palette, look for Golden Peach and Pastel Mix with their creamy tones and multi-layered petals. Golden Peach provides a larger bloom in that perfect shade of soft honey-peach. Choose the Pastel Mix for a mix of large and small blooms and a range of peach to nude and even some silvery lilac tones.

Zinnia Care
We often get asked how to care for zinnias.
Here are our top tips to avoid browning petals and get the longest vase life.
Do not store longer than 3 days.
Make sure your cooler is not lower than 40 degrees.
Avoid holding solutions as the sugar in them can cause petals to brown.
Keep the water clean. Their stems can cause water to get dirty quickly so frequent changing is beneficial.
Mind the hollow stems! Their stems are susceptible to bending at the neck so handle with care.
