All About Lisianthus

Lisianthus is summer's rose-like stunner. Their fluttery, layered blooms are simply irresistible! Their vase life is incredible; they withstand heat and hold well out of water. It's easy to see why we wait all year for their arrival!

Lisianthus buds really don't continue to open once they're cut, so growers must be very patient and wait for multiple blooms on the stem to open before cutting. From seed to bloom, growers have been waiting anywhere from 175-250 days, so what's another week?!

Local Lisianthus can make such a difference in your designs and often meet the design need you didn't know you had.

If you're used to tulips in the spring, lisianthus can be an equally elegant replacement for the later summer months.

If you're looking for something to replace a rose, lisianthus can fill that space perfectly.

Or if you're just looking to add more shape and a little fluff, lisianthus is your flower!

They bloom from late July into September, just in time for our busy Colorado wedding season.

In the past several years, the Macherie Variety of Lisianthus has become available. The Macherie offers smaller blooms with star-like petals. The Macherie is the spray rose equivalent to the lisianthus.
