Peony season is flashy and fast!
Our time with these beauties only lasts about three weeks per year, so be ready to take advantage of the season! June is the time to fill your bouquets and vases with all the peonies you can. There are over 30 species of peonies, but at CFC, we categorize them by color and shape. Below you will find the commonly seen colors and the shapes our growers offer.
Color Classification
We primarily categorize peonies in our online shop by color.
Some of those below from left to right: pink, white/ivory, light pink/pale yellow, pink bi-color, red, burgundy semi-double, white, salmon, and fuchsia.

Peony Plants Play the Long Game
Peony plants can live up to 100 years and take approximately three years to get established, so when you see the new hot colors showing up, know that it could be years until the supply of those colors is widely available.
Peonies are best cut in the "marshmallow" stage, which means that the bloom has the same squishiness as a marshmallow. When they're cut at this stage, they'll open fully. If they're cut while the blooms are at a tighter stage, the blooms will likely not develop into their full potential.
